We use a digital learning platform called Itslearning as a the school's communication tool.
All student will get their own username and password to be able to access the platform. Please check your account on daily basis for important information and updates regarding courses, assignments and messages from the school staff. We recommend that you download the app for your smartphone or tablet.
The College fee, including food and accommodation is 480€ per month.
Students not in the Hall of Residence pay 320€ per month, which includes food.
The fee is paid once a month or by larger instalments by agreement. Registration fee is 100€, paid at both terms.
Students who have been admitted are entitled to accomodation in the College Hall of Residence. Students in the Hall of Residence may use their rooms during term from Monday to Friday. At weekends their rooms may be needed to accommodate participants in the short-course programmes. Since the College on occasion needs to accommodate participants at fairly large conferences, students may be asked to vacate their rooms once or twice during the year. By way of compensation, the College charges nothing for weekends when students occupy their rooms, provided they are not needed. In such cases students have access to any of the three pantries where own food can be prepared. Silence must be observed in the Hall of Residence from 22.00-7.00.
The Matron, Clara Lundberg is in charge of the Hall of Residence. The Centre provides bedspreads and furniture, but students in Residence must bring their own blankets, bed linen, cushions, towels etc. Students are responsible for the state of their rooms.
Guests in the Hall of Residence
When residents wish to receive guests, they should inform the Treasurer or the Office in advance. Students pay for their own guests according to a separate price list. Non-residents should leave the school premises
Lärkkulla’s kitchen provides meals from Monday breakfast to Friday coffee. The College is able to cater for most dietary needs. Please inform the kitchen.
Please note the following regulations regarding your stay at Lärkkulla:
- It's strictly forbidden to smoke indoors and on the balconies. Smoking is allowed on specific spots of the school area.
- Do not take cups, plates or trays from the dining hall. Exception: During the late spring to early autumn when the dining hall terrace is open.
- No outsiders are allowed in the dorms after 22.00/10pm
- The use of alcohol is forbidden in the dorms.
Lärkkulla is visited by outside groups for events such as camps and courses on a regular basis, so it's important that we all work together to make them feel welcome. This means cleaning up after ourselves and respecting whatever event they are here for.
Lärkkulla provides short training and further educational courses for the staff of the Borgå Swedish Diocese as well as other professional.
Categories in collaboration with the Diocese and the Chapter. In addition, other organizations rent the facilities at Lärkkulla for their courses.
In view of the many different categories of people present at any time at Lärkkulla, it is important to show consideration, especially when grace is said at meals and at evening prayers.
Students at the College are entitled to apply for state grants. Information about state support is available at the local Job Centre. The College Office passes on application forms to the student support centre at Jyväskylä. It is advisable to send the form to the College Office as early at possible in order to ensure that the grant is available at the beginning of the autumn term. State grants are paid to applicants who have been admitted as full-time students and are in need of financial support.

Group 1: For EU-citizens + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Australia and the province Quebec in Canada a doctors’ appointment will cost you 13,80€.
Group 2 :For non EU-citizens a doctors’ appointment will cost you 131€. Evenings and weekends you may find help at Västra Nyland sjukhus Östra Strandgatan 9 in Ekenäs. Phone number: +358 19 224 2800. A visit will cost you 27,50€. if you are from group 1 and at least 327,50€ or more, depending on what type of care your are given, if you are from group 2.

Students may book the washing machines in the laundry room by signing the booking from. It is advisable to book two hours per load.
Laundry may be dried in the drying room, which must be kept locked at all times. The room key fits the lock.
Students may leave their white linen for mangling free of charge. Sheets should be pre-stretched by hand before they are left on the mangle.
