Objectives

You acquire basic skills in speaking and writing Finnish, corresponding to the elementary or intermediate level of the National Certificate of Language Proficency in Finnish in the spring of 2013.

Methods

Communicative exercises in pairs and groups. Computer– aided exercises. Drama. Language games. Interactive presentations.

Evaluation

Continuous evalutation throughout the course. Continuous evaluation of the skills required in the National Language Proficiency Test. The independent study input and co-operation skills will be evaluated during the entire course. Several written tests.

Course requirements

90 % attendance, written test.

Content

Different communicative exercises, structures. Drama performances abour news, debates, writing of different letters, Finnish on the telephone, idioms etc.
